Born on September 9, 1970, Dr. Sagayanathan is a committed social worker and educator with over 34 years of experience in technical and community service fields. He holds M.Com., TTC., LFT., PGDCA., and a Diploma in Community Mental Health Care from The BALM, Chennai.

He began his career as a Typewriting Technical Teacher and later became a Computer Trainer under the Institute for Development Education (IFDE). Over the years, he has nurtured thousands of students with training in communication skills, leadership, time management, and vocational education.

As President of Our Voice Cultural Troupe, Dr. Sagayanathan has dedicated over 30 years to promoting Tamil folk traditions such as Paraiattam, Karagattam, Oyilattam, and social awareness street plays. His troupe has trained students in reputed colleges including Loyola, MCC, Queen Mary’s, and Lady Willingdon.

Through the Udhavum Ullam Charitable Trust, he leads impactful community programs:

Weekly slum clean-up drives

General, eye, and blood donation camps

Awareness programs on health, hygiene, and POSCO Act

Free computer and folk art classes for orphans and HIV-affected youth

Food and clothing distribution to old-age homes and marginalized communities

Tree planting and environmental awareness initiatives
